Sydney bar introduces NFT membership program

The cocktail bar from Sydney, Australia has decided that traditional membership cards are outdated, so they have implemented a membership program using NFT tokens that differ in price in ETH and provide owners with various privilege packages.

On this page

We're talking about the very popular Lulu bar and Luna Lu Asian restaurant, both of which offer a stunning view of the world-famous Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and the local harbor through their windows.

Lulu bar has become the first establishment in Australia to introduce a club membership program using NFTs.

Lulu bar has become the first establishment in Australia to introduce a club membership program using NFTs.

To become a member of the CryptoLulu club, regular visitors to the bar now need to purchase one of the NFTs from the popular OpenSea marketplace. Once they've done that, they need to create a member profile on the bar's website, connect their NFT wallet to it, and add some information. The process is quick, and it's necessary to confirm the presence of an NFT token, which automatically activates club membership privileges. In addition, profile owners will receive information about future club updates and events.

Members of the Lulu bar's NFT club have access to private lounge areas of the bar. They can also attend club events, exclusive dinners, and culinary tastings, and join the world of Web3. And on top of that, they get the most spectacular views of Sydney.

Over the next six months, owners of CryptoLulu club NFT tokens will automatically gain the status of a participant in the global VIP community in the Web3 space. This will enable them to learn about exclusive club privileges available worldwide.

As we can see, the plans are grand.

Three levels of membership and different privileges

There are three membership levels in the NFT club, and each level offers different packages of privileges: Jia, Joo, and Ryuu. The NFT token that corresponds to a particular level confirms the owner's right to receive exclusive benefits and various privileges in the bar.

Different membership levels provide access to different packages of privileges.

Different membership levels provide access to different packages of privileges.

Regardless of the level, all club members receive:

  • VIP service during all visits to Lulu bar and Luna Lu restaurant;
  • Priority booking of tables with a view of the waterfront;
  • One complimentary drink during each visit;
  • Gift certificates, participation in exclusive Web3 educational events with industry leaders held every month;
  • Participation in quarterly casual dinners with interesting speakers
  • An Ethereum blockchain-based NFT token.

To become a Jia level club member, one must pay 1000 Australian dollars or 0.45 ETH (the ether value may vary depending on the current market rate). This is the premium level. In addition to the standard set of privileges, Jia level club members receive a gift certificate from the local luxury goods online store nontre.co for 100 US dollars.

To become a Joo level club member, visitors should be even more generous and pay 3000 Australian dollars or 1.35 ETH. This is the Gold level. Club members at the Joo level have more options for choosing a place in addition to the standard privileges. Moreover, they receive additional benefits and a gift certificate from nontre.co for 250 US dollars.

Visitors who wish to become members of the higher-level Joo club package must be generous enough to pay $3,000 AUD or 1.35 ETH. This is the Gold level. It adds more options for seat selection, additional privileges, and a $250 USD gift certificate to nontre.co to the standard set of benefits club members receive.

The third and highest level, Ryuu, is a package of services for VIP clients, at a cost of $5,000 AUD or 2.26 ETH. In addition to the benefits of the first two levels, each club member also receives:

  • a $400 USD gift voucher to nontre.co;
  • participation in an exclusive Dining Dome tasting experience at the Luna Lu restaurant;
  • early access to table reservations for a New Year's Eve party with a guaranteed view of the harbor from Luna Lu or Lulu;
  • a one-hour consultation with the Web3 venture company NotCentralised, and much more.

As we can see, this establishment demonstrates a thoughtful approach to forming a club audience with varying income levels and preferences, as well as expanding the Web3 community.

Overall, Luna Bar's NFT-based club program is a very interesting use case that other establishments will soon follow. Welcome to the world of Web3!
