Bybit has officially introduced cmETH, a new Liquid Restaking Token (LRT) developed by Mantle Network using the mETH protocol. The token is designed to enhance Ethereum staking efficiency, allowing users to achieve higher yields through advanced restaking mechanisms.

To celebrate the launch, Bybit is offering a limited-time promotion. Users who create and hold cmETH through the Bybit On-Chain Earn service can earn additional ETH rewards with an annual percentage rate (APR) of 6%. This exclusive opportunity provides Ethereum holders with an extra incentive to maximize their staking profits.

What is cmETH?

cmETH is a liquid restaking token within the Mantle ecosystem, offering users diverse opportunities to generate income. It was launched on October 30, 2024, as part of Season 2: Metamorphosis.

Key Features of cmETH

  1. cmETH allows users to engage in Ethereum restaking while maintaining the liquidity of their assets, ensuring greater flexibility and usability.
  2. Holders of cmETH can benefit from a variety of income sources, including staking rewards, MEV (Maximal Extractable Value), and other opportunities available within the Mantle ecosystem.
  3. The token is designed for effortless integration with decentralized applications (dApps) and DeFi protocols, enabling users to maximize the utility of their assets across diverse financial strategies.

As of January 27, 2025, cmETH is priced at $3,261.

Benefits of Using cmETH on Bybit

The cmETH token offers a collateralization ratio (CVR) of up to 80%, enabling users to unlock the value of their staked assets without forfeiting staking rewards. Bybit’s Convert feature adds further convenience by facilitating fee-free swaps between ETH, stETH, mETH, and cmETH.

To mark the listing, Bybit has introduced a month-long earning program for cmETH, starting on January 24, 2025. With no individual subscription limits, users can stake ETH or mETH to earn an additional 6% annual yield offered by the platform.

By listing cmETH as a collateralized asset, Bybit provides users with greater flexibility and enhanced liquidity options. The platform’s conversion feature also allows instant, seamless exchanges between cmETH and ETH, stETH, or mETH in both directions.

These new initiatives make cmETH a compelling tool for Ethereum users, offering an optimized staking strategy while ensuring easy access to their assets.
