Coinbase Expands Workforce: 1,000 U.S. Jobs Coming Soon
Coinbase plans to add 1,000 jobs across the U.S. by 2025, strengthening its team to meet growing demand for crypto services and compliance.
According to Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, the company’s expansion is directly linked to the crypto-friendly stance of President Donald Trump. With fewer legal obstacles and lower regulatory costs, the exchange can now prioritize hiring and innovation over courtroom battles.
A direct result of his actions already in the first 60 days or so. These policies really matter. President Trump has breathed life back into the crypto industry,
Armstrong remarked.
The announcement was made against the backdrop of Trump’s first White House crypto summit, where leading industry figures, including Michael Saylor and the Winklevoss twins, discussed the future of digital assets.
With 3,772 employees currently on board, Coinbase’s planned 1,000 new hires will increase its workforce by approximately 27%, according to Stockanalysis. Over the past year, the company added just 356 employees (a 10% increase), making this expansion one of its largest in recent years. The exact positions remain undisclosed.

What’s even more intriguing? Two years ago, Coinbase laid off nearly the same number of employees—950—citing a need to cut costs. Back then, CEO Brian Armstrong insisted the company was financially sound, but streamlining the workforce was necessary for future growth.
