Hilbert Group Approves Crypto Treasury Program With Bitcoin

Swedish firm Hilbert Group adopts Bitcoin as a reserve asset, unveiling a transparent crypto treasury strategy with active governance.

Hilbert Group AB announced that it will hold Bitcoin as its primary reserve asset under a new crypto treasury program. A Treasury Committee will oversee all crypto holdings and financing arrangements. Chief investment officer Russell Thompson chairs the committee. The board approved the program unanimously.

Hilbert is reviewing multiple financing offers from institutional partners. The company will structure capital in tranches for flexible deployment. Each tranche's size and timing will be disclosed upon execution.

The firm received several unsolicited funding offers, which prompted the launch of the treasury program. Company leadership viewed these proposals as indicators of market confidence in both Bitcoin and Hilbert's asset management capabilities.

Hilbert will launch a real-time transparency dashboard showing live updates on crypto treasury holdings and transactions. The dashboard aims to provide institutional-grade compliance and reporting. The company also plans to distinguish itself from passive allocators through active management and governance standards.

CEO Barnali Biswal said the approach bridges traditional equity investment with digital assets. She stated this allows investors to participate in digital finance through a regulated vehicle.

Hilbert Group AB operates as a quantitative investment company focused on algorithmic trading strategies for digital assets. The firm provides operational infrastructure, risk management, and corporate governance for institutional investors.

The program represents Hilbert's formal entry into corporate crypto treasury management as part of its balance sheet strategy. The initiative responds to growing institutional interest in holding crypto assets alongside traditional reserves.

Hilbert's board structured the program to capitalize on increasing institutional Bitcoin adoption while maintaining liquidity through flexible capital deployment.
