Ripple has launched a philanthropic program allocating $25 million in RLUSD to strengthen the American K–12 education system. Collaborating with DonorsChoose and Teach For America, Ripple will channel these funds through The Giving Block platform across 2025.
A recent Gallup study found that 55% of U.S. adults and parents are dissatisfied with the quality of K–12 schooling—underscoring long-standing funding deficiencies. This donation is designed to help close those gaps by empowering educators with the materials, tools, and resources they need.

Teachers are going the extra mile for their students’ education, even spending hundreds — sometimes thousands — of dollars out-of-pocket for their classrooms,
said Alix Guerrier, CEO of DonorsChoose. In her words, the Ripple donation will unlock thousands of student-focused projects in classrooms coast to coast.
Delivering Impact Through Smart Partnerships: Allocation Details
To ensure the donations reach classrooms effectively, Ripple has joined forces with The Giving Block—empowering nonprofits to receive crypto and convert it to fiat on their own terms. The first round of funding is set for Teacher Appreciation Week, with additional support extending into the national STEM Innovation Challenge and future education-focused campaigns.
Allocation overview:
- $15 million will go straight into classroom budgets through DonorsChoose.
- $10 million will fund tutoring fellowships through Teach For America’s Ignite program.
This funding will expand our Ignite Tutoring Fellows program, drive innovation in our Reinvention Lab, and provide crucial financial assistance to thousands of new corps members during their teacher preparation,
said Aneesh Sohoni, CEO of Teach For America.
Ultimately, the support aims to make education not only more accessible, but more intentional and cohesive in its delivery.

What Sets RLUSD and XRPL Apart
The RLUSD stablecoin offers a secure, low-volatility digital dollar experience, firmly pegged to the U.S. dollar. It operates on the XRP Ledger, a blockchain network optimized for speed, low-cost transactions, and full ledger transparency—providing both reliability and operational efficiency.
Viewed through a broader lens, the donation appears both as a meaningful PR collaboration and a trial run for Ripple’s blockchain technology.
In January, XRPL introduced a clawback mechanism that allows issuers to retrieve tokens under certain predefined conditions—an update that enhances RLUSD’s regulatory appeal for institutional users.
