Sega’s Super Game Plans to Add NFTs

Now, the company is preparing to take a step further and integrate cloud technology and NFTs as part of its new “Super Game ” project, connecting different games.

It is a natural extension for the future of gaming that it will expand to involve new areas such as cloud gaming and NFTs,

said Sega producer Masayoshi Kikuchi.

The Super Game project, which is expected to secure $800 million of investments, is poised to roll out in the next five years. According to reports, the developers are planning to introduce an array of new cross-platform triple A-grade games.

While many users welcomed Sega’s decision, some gamers expressed overt dissatisfaction, taking their fury to Twitter.

writes one of the users.

Meanwhile, other gamers noted that “NFTs are a technology. They aren’t inherently good or bad. The trepidation comes from the greedy microtransactions already in games. It’s understandable people don’t like the idea of ‘NFT’ games.”

NFTs are nothing unusual in the world of gaming. Different projects like Enjin and Animoca Brands are offering these tokens, with the NFT market’s value significantly growing over the past several years.
