10 Alternatives to CoinMarketCap

CoinMarketCap may be the most well-known analytical resource for crypto assets. However, with Binance’s acquisition of the platform, many have noticed discrepancies in its data compared to other sources. Therefore, it’s crucial to explore alternative options to stay informed and up-to-date.

In April 2020, CoinMarketCap (CMC) lost its status as an independent analytical resource after being acquired by crypto exchange Binance. Despite CMC representatives insisting on the portal's independence, Binance product and service advertisements are now commonly seen on the website. Additionally, concerns have been raised about the selectivity in adding new assets to the rankings and discrepancies in trading volume data compared to other analytical platforms. Therefore, it's advised to cross-check CMC's information with at least two or three other analytical websites to obtain an objective view. That's why we've compiled a list of 10 alternative platforms to CoinMarketCap that we would like to share with you.

Coingecko

This platform is a close competitor to CMC in terms of popularity. Along with the usual rankings, this analytical portal allows users to create their own investment portfolio to track the value of each asset in real time. Coingecko also provides a variety of complementary services, including a trading DEX terminal, widgets, educational articles, and even a shop where you can buy books on cryptocurrency.
Coinpaprika

It is a relatively new player in the analytical resource market that not all crypto enthusiasts may have heard of. Launched in 2018, Coinpaprika has already gained a reputation as one of the most unbiased web resources. The platform offers twice as many assets as CMC and provides more objective data on trading volumes, taking into account all exchanges and trading platforms.

Coincheckup

This website goes beyond just providing basic information about cryptocurrencies with their current market capitalization and charts. Coincheckup focuses on in-depth analysis, offering forecasts on the price movement of popular assets while paying attention to both fundamental and technical analysis. Additionally, it provides detailed information on all ICOs – current, planned, and completed.

Cryptorank

This analytical portal offers a standard set of rankings and services. However, it also features some unique aspects such as a cryptocurrency market visualization tool using a heat map (similar to Coin360) and virtual portfolio battles between investors.

Crуptocompare

This analytical portal has been around since early 2014 and gained recognition for its lightning-fast real-time asset price updates. Cryptocompare was able to offer this feature thanks to CCData, a company that specializes in providing institutional clients with cryptocurrency market data. The analytical portal offers useful tools for users and API integration for trading platforms.

Coincodex

Compared to its competitors, this analytical portal doesn't offer a significantly different set of services, but it does have an ad-free interface and visually appealing data visualization. The portal pays special attention to token sales (ICO, IEO, IDO, STO, etc.) and niche ratings (hardware and NFT wallets, crypto cards, IEO platforms, etc.).
Bitinfocharts

Bitinfocharts is an interesting and unique analytical resource that sets itself apart from other similar platforms. Despite its modest interface, the site offers a wealth of exclusive data. It provides information about the time of each coin's block creation, the number of transactions completed per hour and day, as well as their average value. Bitinfocharts also presents data for each cryptocurrency, including the reward size per block, current hashrate, wallet volume, and quantity, as well as statistics for the top 100 wallets. Moreover, the portal analyses the activity in each coin's Github repository, providing details about the version and date of the last update.

Coinlib

Perhaps one of the main advantages of this analytical portal is its simplicity and user-friendly interface, as well as support for nearly 30 languages. The website has a clear structure and a multi-level menu, making all the main functions visible during navigation. The portal team claims that quotes are updated almost in real-time. This resource also contains a lot of information about trading bots and their settings.

WorldCoinIndex

This analytical portal has a concise interface and is ad-free. One of its unique features is monitoring the farming market (yield farming) and NFTs. As for non-fungible tokens, this portal plans to pay special attention to NFT minting: a separate section has already been created, where reviews of current offers will soon appear.

The Coinomist

The Coinomist is an alternative to CoinMarketCap and other similar cryptocurrency portals. It provides a ranking of digital assets and allows you to track their current value and trading volumes over different periods, from hourly to weekly. The website has a convenient filtering system that lets you search for specific cryptocurrencies based on their class of digital assets, consensus algorithms, hashing, and blockchain ecosystems. You can also expect more features to be added soon, such as reviews and additional information about each coin.  What's more, The Coinomist has a sleek and stylish interface that's easy on the eyes (the website's dark mode is especially appealing).
