Claire Silver: The Enigmatic Leader in AI Art

Very little is known about Claire's early years. She was raised in a small town, dreaming of a career in writing, often inspired by nature while crafting enthralling stories and characters. Eventually, she earned a degree from a state university in a field not directly related to art. After establishing her professional career, Claire was diagnosed with a severe chronic illness that began to disrupt her life significantly.

Claire devoted considerable time and energy to managing her illness. Facing escalating depression, she turned to drawing, experimenting with various artistic tools and later, artificial intelligence. By 2017, although the technology had not yet matured to instantly generate high-quality images from simple text prompts, it already assisted Claire in bringing her artistic visions to life.

Claire believes that AI has transformed the art world, shifting the focus from traditional skills to personal taste and perception. In her practice, she meticulously selects the most fitting iterations of her concepts, with only 1% of all generated works making it into real NFTs. Claire is convinced that artificial intelligence does not infringe on copyright laws and anticipates that it will become an essential tool for many people and professions in the future.

Claire Silver is also proficient in photography, collage creation, and painting with oils and acrylics, often manually reinterpreting AI-generated images. She enjoys mixing diverse styles to create transcendental art that goes beyond the material world and engages with the spiritual. Her work explores various social themes, including vulnerability, disability, and innocence.

Her artwork has been exhibited at prestigious venues like the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and Sotheby's auctions, and at other renowned creative platforms globally. In spring 2024, she signed a contract with the leading American talent agency, William Morris Endeavor. She continues to be active in the NFT space, with her first CryptoPunk still used as her avatar.

Her first NFT collection, titled “Genesis,” was introduced in 2020. It is composed exclusively of unprocessed AI-generated abstract images that illustrate the technological progress over several years of development. “Genesis” consists of 500 unique NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. The collection has been well-received: trading volume has exceeded 2800 ETH, and only 3% of the tokens are offered for sale, indicating that owners are reluctant to sell. This has kept the minimum price substantial, at 1.99 ETH, with a 7.5% author's royalty.

Claire's initial collection stands in stark contrast to her later digital series, particularly “corpo | real,” launched in early 2024. This series features a variety of virtual women in captivating, colorful, and sometimes fantastical attire. The images are so stylish and photorealistic that they could be mistaken for actual photos from exclusive future fashion shows.

“Corpo | real” also includes 500 unique NFTs on the Ethereum platform. At the minting stage, the tokens sold out in seconds, raising about 500 ETH ($1.3 million). Currently, the minimum price for one of these NFTs is 0.41 ETH ($1058). Like with “Genesis,” only 5% of “corpo | real” tokens are available for sale.

Claire continues to work on new projects and produces educational videos that provide insights on working with NFTs, AI, or achieving specific visual effects. Overall, Claire is a leading figure in AI art who actively supports emerging Web3 artists through competitions, encouraging people to embrace and experiment with new technologies.
