CZ vs. Lana Queen: The Twitter Clash Over Crypto Dumping
Binance co-founder and former CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) blocked a Twitter user accusing the platform of selling their assets.

Recently, Web3 community member Lana Queen shared a screenshot of her comment under CZ’s post “Let’s support the builders.” In response, she wrote, “Let’s stop dumping SOL, ETH and BTC via Wintermute first, crime man”.
Wintermute is an algorithmic trading platform and a crypto market maker. What Lana Queen claimed in an offensive tone is that the crypto exchange sells its assets, intentionally dumping the market.
Another screenshot shared by Lana Queen shows that CZ blocked her.
Lana Queen believes that CZ’s action of blocking her proves her claim right. “Say something and the head scammer CZ will insta block you”, she went on.
Imagine having 10M followers but caring what a random Lana has to say under your tweet.
Looks like I am right after all….. thanks @cz_binance , you'll end up in jail again.
But this time not for 4 months but 40 years.
Here, Lana Queen refers to CZ’s arrest in April 2024 for not having a proper anti-money laundering program at his exchange. CZ got in trouble for breaking U.S. laws about money laundering.
After a few months in prison, though, he was released in late September 2024 as part of a deal with the U.S. government. This deal included paying a massive fine—$50 million out of his pocket, plus Binance had to settle for $4.3 billion.
This incident is just another chapter in the ongoing CZ Twitter controversy, given his influence on the crypto market.
Does CZ Continue Playing a Role in Binance?
Although Lana Queen keeps calling CZ a scammer, there’s no evidence for it. User @bitvillealpha wrote in the comments: “CZ is not even CEO, but you went under his tweet to use vile words? Anyone would block you. Why not comment under Richard Teng’s tweet instead?”
Others supported Lana, agreeing with her statement that something might be up with Binance.
CZ hasn’t commented on the post, so we don’t know his side of the story. That being said, recently Binance commented on the claims about selling assets, saying they move the funds around.
The exchange clarified that the transactions involved treasury funds and no user assets were moved.
Despite CZ's resignation as CEO of Binance in November 2023, he remains a prominent figure in the crypto community, with a large following. His posts and actions, like those mentioned in Lana Queen’s post, can still generate significant attention and controversy, but he is not involved in Binance’s day-to-day operations or strategic decisions.
