MetaBrewSociety is a metabrewery founded by a group of friends who share a passion for beer, Web3, and NFTs. Launched in April 2022, the project has already gained a large following and the backing of private investors who helped the determined team acquire a historic brewery in Bavaria.

The team behind the digital brewery is made up of professionals from various industries who have worked together to bring their dream to life:
- Holger, the CEO, is an entrepreneur and creative pioneer who incorporates new technologies into traditional industries.
- Chantalle is a designer, NFT artist, founder of Brand Design Studio, and branding specialist.
- Marcus is the brewer.
- Tim is an entrepreneur and marketer.
- Johannes is a technical strategist with brewing experience.
- Andy is an entrepreneur and smart contract developer.
The physical brewery of MetaBrewSociety is located in Bavaria and has been operating for over 600 years. When the brewery became the main location for the project, the team carried out a significant modernization to update the facilities and equipment. As a result, the brewery now uses innovative technologies to brew and bottle their craft beer.

It has an upgraded brewing facility and modern warehouse space with combined fermentation and storage tanks, yeast and pressure vessels, and tanks for storage.
The brewery has a powerful bottling system that can fill up to 10,000 cans and bottles of various shapes per hour. This allows the company to not only meet the needs of several thousand retail customers from 40 countries around the world but also to accept orders for contract brewing.
At present, MetaBrewSociety offers two types of craft beer:
- Helles Vollbier: a traditional Bavarian lager that pairs well with any food. It has a refreshing taste with soft hoppy and malty notes. A can costs €1.59, and a box of 40 cans costs €63.60 including taxes.
- Märzen Lager: a March festival lager made according to a century-old family recipe. It is an amber full-bodied beer filled with malt and caramel aromas. It is recommended to be paired with spicy and fried dishes. A can costs €1.79, and a box of 40 cans costs €71.60 including taxes.

In September 2022, MetaBrewSociety launched NFTs, which they called digital certificates of pleasure. About 1300 Genesis certificates were sold for approximately €1000 each, making the brewery one of the most promising German NFT projects. The minting of the MetaBrewSociety Genesis Certificate collection was permanently halted on March 27, 2023, but users can still purchase these NFTs on the secondary market. For example, on OpenSea, their cost ranges from 0.65 to 1.2 ETH.
Genesis certificates guarantee their holders 240 cans of MetaBrewSociety craft beer per year with free delivery. Every quarter, each Genesis certificate owner receives an NFT that can be exchanged for 60 cans of beer with worldwide delivery without additional charges. The stated warranty period for NFTs is three years, but the brewers emphasize that their goal is to send you a beer for your entire life.

The second MetaBrewSociety GoldPass NFT mint is still open for grabs! These exclusive passes guarantee holders 2,400 cans of beer per year, for life, with a unique label featuring personalized logos or avatars.
