TON Core’s H1 2025 Roadmap Released

At the heart of the roadmap is the “Accelerator” upgrade, which will introduce a fresh blockchain architecture. The new system will support unlimited sharding, increasing node efficiency, stabilizing block creation rates, and lowering the resource load required for transaction processing.

With the division of the validator’s functions into Collator and Validator, the network is expected to experience a major speed improvement.

Additionally, the roadmap highlights the introduction of new tools for validators, including Telegram bots that will quickly notify users of validator status, penalties, and participation requirements for updates or voting.

One of the highlights will be the launch of a Layer 2 payment network, which promises instant transfers with very small fees. Additionally, the support for Jetton tokens and other currencies will be expanded.

To improve user experience (UX), TON Core will join forces with major ecosystem players like DeDust, MyTonWallet, and TonScan.org to refine transaction displays and introduce a new system that will immediately reflect the status of operations.

Beyond this, the roadmap details the exploration of sidechain development opportunities, further refinement of the TOLK 1.0 programming language, and the launch of TON BTC Teleport, a cross-chain solution aimed at transferring Bitcoin to and from the TON network without intermediaries.
