Guild: Creating and Governing Decentralized Crypto Communities

Guild, a cryptocurrency protocol for diverse blockchain project communities, facilitates the development and implementation of various quests, the attainment of NFTs, and other forms of rewards.

On this page

Guild bears similarity to crypto quest platforms such as Zealy and Layer3. Users can create guilds, undertake leadership roles in projects, investigate on-chain data, and master the use of various applications.

In our article, we'll explore the projects already featured on Guild and provide you with the necessary steps to get started on the platform.

Delving deeper into Guild

Guild's primary objective is to assist projects in engaging with their user base. The platform provides an array of tools and features such as:

  • Migration of cryptocurrency communities to user-friendly social networks like Discord, Twitter, or Notes;
  • Educational resources and guides for better understanding and application of cryptocurrency projects;
  • The ability to freely establish your own guild;
  • The creation of membership structures and user hierarchies within guilds;
  • Assistance in monetizing personal content;
  • Accessibility to all platform functions through an API.

Often, the most active users within the guilds are rewarded with branded NFTs or allocations in token sales.

Getting started: Wallet and social media integration

To start engaging with the platform, it is recommended to link your personal cryptocurrency wallet (like Metamask) to Guild. To ease future interactions with various projects, it is beneficial to integrate your personal social media accounts such as Discord, Gmail, Telegram, Twitter, your GitHub profile, and LinkedIn. Following these steps eliminates the need to continually link your resources to each new guild.

User guide

To begin interacting with the guilds, navigate to the “Explore all Guilds” section in the main menu and select the project of your choice. The task list for acquiring roles may include:

  • Subscribing to social media platforms, posting about the project, or retweeting;
  • Carrying out transactions within the application;
  • Minting NFTs;
  • Participating in a testnet, hackathon, or other activities;
  • Being active on the project's social media and acquiring roles there;
  • Other tasks with the objective of increasing brand awareness, boosting network activity, and growing the community.

Clearly, engaging with Guild quests may sometimes require financial commitments. However, most of the projects featured here potentially offer airdrops for early participation, so every transaction executed is purposeful.

Balancy Playground

The Balancy Playground tool allows for identifying the count of users that hold a particular token or NFT. This data can be used to track the activity of various addresses.

Guildverse

The “Guildverse” section functions as an educational hub, where users can gain comprehensive insights about their favored project or protocol: their objectives, unique tools and traits, associated social media platforms, token standards, and more. Given the information provided, it's important to note that engaging in Guild quests might necessitate some financial commitments.

Wrapping up

Guild operates as a beneficial tool for understanding a cryptocurrency application, network, or protocol. Earning roles, securing NFTs, and participating in quests on Guild increases the probability of obtaining rewards in the form of airdrops from the project.

However, interacting with certain features of Guild, such as minting tokens, performing transactions, and deploying smart contracts, may sometimes require a financial investment. This should be taken into account prior to participating in activities.
