Previously, due to the large growth in the popularity of mining and the lack of silicon chips, the process of mass buying up of the latest generation graphics cards by miners was attempted to limit, since they simply became inaccessible to players. To regulate these processes in 2021, Ethereum hash speed limiters were installed on graphics cards. Such restrictions have been installed on the new top models and are equipped with all Nvidia RTX 3000 generation GPUs with LHR technology.
According to the developers from NiceHash, the new NiceHash QuickMiner Ethereum mining update will 100% unlock the hashrate of Nvidia LHR RTX GPUs.
Miners reacted to these “punitive measures” and sometimes ideas of workarounds arose in the community. However, so far they have not helped to completely bypass the protection. It is worth noting that, in general, the LHR restrictions established by Nvidia Corporation in general cannot interfere with the mining of the Ethereum, however, under any manipulations the graphics card did not give out 100% of the hashrate. According to NiceHash, the situation will soon change. Also, software developers announced support for NiceHash QuickMiner, which ensures stable operation of graphics cards with LHR.
