Arizona takes a step toward legalizing crypto payments
Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers has introduced a bill that would make cryptocurrency legal tender.

SB 1235 aims to allow cryptocurrencies to be used as a payment option for rent, tax, and fine purposes.
If the bill passes, Arizona will become the first U.S. state to recognize Bitcoin on an equal basis with fiat.
There's a good chance of that happening: Republicans hold a majority in the Arizona Senate and a majority in the Arizona House of Representatives in Congress.
