SBF’s bail was backed by Stanford employees
One of the guarantors was Larry Kramer. He is a former dean of Stanford Law School and a close friend of Sam’s parents. Larry stated that Joe Bankman and Barbara Fried supported his family during the battle with cancer.

Kramer said he signed SBF's bail to return the favor. He also confirmed Sam's words that he didn’t receive any payments from FTX and Alameda Research for acting as a guarantor.
The other benefactor was Andreas Paepcke, a senior research scientist at Stanford University. There are so far no details on his ties to SBF.
As you can see, friends at prestigious universities are better than $250 million in the purse.
