AI Scandal: Schumacher’s Family to Sue a Magazine
The media is now using AI to be even nastier than usual.

The family of the legendary Formula One driver Michael Schumacher is set to take legal action against a German outlet Die Aktuelle. The magazine used artificial intelligence to produce a so-called interview with the recluse racer.
Dubbing it an exclusive interview with Schumacher, who has not been seen in public since December 2013 after he had suffered a grave skiing accident, the magazine did not indicate that the interview was computer-generated. Only later did it admit to using artificial intelligence.
The decision didn't go unnoticed by Schumacher's family which is set to take legal action against the outlet.
This is not the first time the Schumachers are having a dispute with Die Aktuelle.
In 2014, it published a picture of Michael and his wife Corinna on the front cover with the catchy headline “Awake” even though the piece focused on other people who awoke from comas.
The magazine also used a deceptive headline that suggested that “a new love” had entered Corinna's life. The article published, however, focused on the couple's daughter, Gina.
This story is the latest AI scandal. Just recently, German artist Boris Eldagsen refused to receive a Sony World Photography Award after deliberately submitting an AI photo to test the competition and start a discussion about the future of photography.
Previously, GNcrypto reported that Elon Musk believes that AI can destroy civilization.
