The Voice of Bitcoin: AI Emulates Satoshi Nakamoto
In an intriguing fusion of artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency lore, Pierre Corbin and Hugo Ferrer, co-organizer of Bitcoin FilmFest and a fellow developer respectively, have unveiled an AI chatbot dubbed “Talk2Satoshi” on May 31. This inventive project seeks to simulate conversations with Bitcoin’s enigmatic founder, Satoshi Nakamoto.

The AI model driving the chatbot is OpenAI’s ChatGPT, trained on a restricted dataset that includes public emails and forum posts credited to Nakamoto. In addition, the model is trained on a selection of other resources, such as The Bitcoin Standard by Saifedean Ammous, The Price of Tomorrow by Jeff Booth, and The Great Reset and the Rise of Bitcoin, a film by Corbin. Additional resources are slated to be included in the near future.
When tested, Talk2Satoshi furnishes responses with a characteristic skepticism about the long-term prospects of fiat currencies, while expressing optimism about Bitcoin. However, its responses can sometimes be contradictory, depending on the phrasing of the question.
Significantly, the model is not trained on recent Bitcoin advancements such as the Ordinals protocol or BRC-20 tokens. Consequently, it may produce contradictory answers or refuse to provide opinions on these topics.
The ultimate aim of this chatbot, according to Corbin, is to demonstrate the potential of AI tools in the realm of education. The bot is capable of generating proficient responses to questions about the workings of Bitcoin, the mining process, and other aspects of the network like satoshis.
Maintaining the mystery of its namesake, the Nakamoto-inspired bot consistently avoids revealing its ‘true' identity, usually responding: “My real name is not important. What is important is the decentralization of power that Bitcoin represents and the potential it has to revolutionize financial systems.”
