Welcome to Frida Kahlo’s Red House, an interactive experience in Decentraland where you get to see some fine Mexican art come alive.
Located at -52,92, the space is designed by Voxel Architects, a company of professional architects that makes custom 3D buildings and experiences in the metaverse.

The Red House has many interesting locations to offer. However, the dark-red wall with Frida Kahlo’s portrait and plenty of digital flowers all around the place definitely stands out.
Here you can take a moment to enjoy Kahlo’s iconic appearance as well as get some Mexican-style inspiration before attending the traditional Day of the Dead parade, also known as Día de Muertos.
Held annually in Mexico on November 1 and 2, its participants pay respects to the deceased family members. It usually features flamboyant skulls hovering in the air or playing Mexican musical instruments such as the Mexican vihuela and the Maracas.

Ok, let’s leave the festival and move on to the modern buildings located just outside the Día de Muertos space. Here you can enjoy modern-day architecture as well as observe a tall female figure wearing a multi-colored dress. She strolls around casually. Feel free to watch her do so before entering a slightly different, somewhat unexpected space.
We’re not going to spill the beans about what exactly it’s all about. It suffices to say that it’s not your usual kind of environment, so we suggest checking it out without further ado.
