Here’s What Decentraland’s Hogwarts Looks Like
Do you miss Harry Potter? Then this Decentraland’s space is just for you.
Welcome to Soul Magic, a place that has strong Harry Potter vibes, though a tad less ominous. In other words, Hogwarts but not quite as gloomy and mysterious as the one you’re used to.

Located at -29,80, it describes itself as a magic fantasy role play game. Its story focuses on the magic school of Elswyth.
Here you can collect ores and magic stones from mining, farming plants and discover through digging. The school has five floors, including Lobby, School Hall, Classroom, Laboratory and Private Room, and Forest surrounding the magic school containing farmland, mine and Magic Circle. The latter is poised to be used for NFT crafting in the future.
You can also trade resources for Gold Midas, Soul Magic’s currency. Soul can be recovered from meditation and will be consumed while conducting activities
We decided to check out how it works so let’s take a closer look together
The first impression that you get when entering the world of Soul Magic is “oh my god, this score is good.”
Indeed, the score that you hear in the background – a soothing melody that is slightly similar to the classic Harry Potter theme – makes you want to stay around and explore (or just leave the tab open and enjoy the enigmatic nature of music.)
After listening to it, we decided to wander around a little bit to see what the place has to offer.
That’s how we first met Vinius the Farmer, a funny man despite having a substantial dental problem. He called our character a “beauty” and offered some seeds that we “can purchase and plant”. Alternatively, we could also consider selling crops to him.
We thanked him (mentally foremost) as we had no crops and proceeded to look around.

That’s when we went inside the main castle.
The entrance to Soul Magic’s version of Hogwarts is exactly what you’d expect it to be. The hall has a wooden floor and a statue of the realm’s defender as well as atmospheric candles.

Then there is the hall where wizards sit at the table, waiting to complete the admission quiz. We tried to do that too but, unfortunately, there was a recurrent error that made it impossible to complete the quiz and thus collect gold midas.

So, we decided to leave the castle and go explore outside.
That’s when we found something akin to an old mansion and judging by the look of it, possibly haunted as well.
The scarecrow with a pumpkin greeted us in front of its entrance, saying “I’m a scary NPC”. Sorry to say, we weren’t scared too much.

Soul Magic also offers portals to other worlds. We went through one of them and ended up at the Blue Moon lake. And it appears that you can catch “delicious fishes” in it, according to one of the characters that looks a little bit like . This includes Stone Bass, Kingfish, Tuna.
If you manage to catch them, then you will receive Stardust – but that’s just one of the many activities available in Soul Magic. So check it out yourself.
