The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has stated that the crypto market regulation, known as Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA), won't be in place until December 2024 at the earliest.
Additionally, an 18-month transitional phase might be provided by member countries for those offering crypto services.
This delay might leave EU crypto enthusiasts in a regulatory limbo until the summer of 2026.
But, who knows? They might actually appreciate the freedom.
