Joseph Lubin is facing a lawsuit from over two dozen former employees of his blockchain firm, ConsenSys.
The ex-employees claim that Lubin essentially devalued the stock awards that had initially attracted them to ConsenSys.
According to the lawsuit, Lubin is accused of moving assets, including the crypto wallet provider MetaMask, out of ConsenSys AG, a Swiss holding company where employees’ shares were held.
In 2020, these assets were transferred to a new U.S. company, rendering the shares of early employees almost worthless.
“He broke his word and violated his legal commitments and duties. While Lubin got rich, Plaintiffs got nothing,” – the filling says.
