The Proof of Stake Alliance (POSA), a non-profit that counts Ava Labs,
Lido Protocol, Polychain among its members, has released new guidelines
for staking providers.
The
organization now emphasizes clear communication, user sovereignty over
staked assets, and refraining from the third-party management of
liquidity. This shift in focus moves away from their earlier guidelines,
which mainly involved cautioning against providing investment advice,
making reward guarantees, and employing dubious marketing.
POSA's
aim with these new principles is to alleviate apprehensions from
regulatory bodies about staking, highlighting that non-compliance by
certain participants poses a risk to the entire industry’s
trustworthiness.
