The National Agency on Corruption Prevention of Ukraine (NACP) is set to utilize an automated artificial intelligence system for the scrutiny of all submitted declarations.
Developing a novel approach for the selection and verification of declarations was essential for the NACP, as manually covering all submissions was impractical. Previously, the selection process was influenced by the official's position category, as well as requests from citizens, journalists, or collaborations with law enforcement.
Under the new regime, the system will assess declarations, prioritizing those deemed to carry the lowest risk. It's anticipated that approximately 30% of these will be subjected to automated verification. The remaining declarations will be screened, with those presenting the highest risk factor earmarked for in-depth verification.
Deputy Head of the NACP, Artem Sytnyk, highlighted that the outcomes of these automatic checks will be accessible to the public. This will be indicated by a specific marker in the public section of the Declarations Registry, next to the relevant declarations.
