Starknet has initiated a vote to move its v.0.13.0 from testnet to mainnet. This voting process, which will conclude on January 8, currently shows an overwhelming 99% support for the move.
The network's latest version is expected to debut on the mainnet by January 10, accompanied by the release of STRK tokens. This update is noteworthy for incorporating STRK tokens as an option for transaction fee payments, in addition to ETH.
Previously, Starknet had announced its intention to distribute STRK tokens to its users, acknowledging both past contributions and future participation.
Typically, crypto projects announce details about retroactive airdrops at the time of their token launch, informing users in advance about their eligibility, the amount they can expect, and the criteria for distribution. However, Starknet has yet to provide these details, despite the imminent launch of its token just a few days away.
