one participant told journalist Eleanor Terrett after an online meeting between representatives of the crypto industry and Democratic Party leaders on Thursday (8th of August).
The meeting included notable figures such as billionaire crypto investor Mark Cuban, SkyBridge Capital founder Anthony Scaramucci, and representatives from Coinbase, Ripple, Uniswap, and Kraken.
Fox Business reported that while some participants were quite vocal and aggressive in their remarks, there were those who found some positives, particularly in relation to Kamala Harris’s campaign.
The meeting, however, was largely aimed at the Biden administration, as clarified at the beginning. Vice President Kamala Harris was not in attendance, which might suggest she’s aiming to carve out her own distinct position.
Reflecting on this, Coinbase’s Chief Legal Officer, Paul Grewal, suggested that the focus should be on Harris's campaign, as he sees her as a strong ally for cryptocurrency sector.
