With this update, SunPump users can watch live streams linked to token projects directly from the token’s details page. The platform also offers a filter feature that allows users to view only tokens with live streams.
SunPump’s decision to implement live streaming comes shortly after Pump․Fun, a popular Solana-based meme token platform, suspended its live streaming feature due to a rise in inappropriate content.
Pump․Fun, a platform for launching meme tokens on the Solana network, rose to popularity in spring 2024. However, after the introduction of a live streaming feature, the platform saw a surge in streams featuring inappropriate content, which steadily increased over time.
Consequently, Pump․Fun had to suspend its live streaming functionality indefinitely, pending the development of a moderation system capable of effectively managing the growing volume of unsuitable content.
