“It’s a really magical feeling; you feel a kinship with your ancestors; this is how I was supposed to live,” Zhu reflected.
Zhu was detained in September 2023 for four months due to his refusal to assist 3AC's liquidators and an attempt to leave the country without proper authorization. While he has regained his freedom, his legal battles with creditors are still underway.
