China's Ministry of Public Security is rolling out RealDID, a
decentralized identification system grounded in blockchain technology.
Developed in collaboration with the Blockchain-based Service Network
(BSN), this initiative aims to verify the real identities of individuals
in China.
RealDID
introduces a unique registration and website login process, allowing
users to maintain anonymity. This is achieved through the use of DID
addresses and private keys, ensuring a clear separation between
business-related information and personal identity details.
The
BSN hails RealDID as the first national-level decentralized system for
real-name verification, leveraging the robust framework of blockchain
technology.
