The Cosmos HUB community recently voted on a proposal to reduce the
maximum inflation rate of its native token, Atom, from 14% to 10%. The
voting concluded with 41.1% in support and 31.9% against the proposal.
Disagreeing
with these results, Cosmos founder Jae Kwon took a decisive step. He
announced his plan to create a fork named AtomOne.
Initially
running on the same software, AtomOne aims to enhance project
decentralization under a different development team and a unique
roadmap.
“This doesn't mean we will leave the hub to fail. We will save the hub
from itself; a partyhub like AtomOne will work toward that goal. The
best case scenario is that we also influence the hub toward safety and
clarify its new role. Stay tuned and contribute,” Kwon elaborated in his
thread's conclusion.
