The non-profit foundation DFINITY has rolled out a GDPR-compatible subnet on the Internet Computer (ICP) protocol. This development allows for the creation of decentralized apps and games that are in full compliance with European regulatory standards.
Dominic Williams, the founder of DFINITY, shared his positive outlook on the project's launch, emphasizing its robust protection of private data. He sees this initiative as a significant boon for millions of European Union citizens.
“The Internet Computer enables full-stack decentralization. The NNS DAO controlling the network has created an internal subnet that exclusively combines nodes located in Europe,” he stated.
