Linea Identifies and Excludes Over 500,000 Sybil Addresses — Nearly 40%
Linea, the L2 blockchain developed by Consensys (creator of the Metamask wallet), has partnered with analytics firm Nansen to identify and filter out over 500,000 Sybil addresses, disqualifying them from eligibility for an airdrop.

This move is seen as a step toward a potential token launch, eagerly anticipated by Linea users who have been actively accumulating LXP and LXP-L tokens through network participation.
According to reports, over 780,000 wallets remain eligible, highlighting the thoroughness of the review process. Sybil addresses accounted for nearly 40% of the total, but Linea and Nansen emphasized that the list is not yet final.
“We're committed to rewarding actual user activity and maintaining a vibrant human community on Linea. This decision prioritizes genuine engagement over bot activity,” the company stated on X.
To verify whether your wallet address has been flagged as a Sybil address or remains eligible, visit poh.linea.build and connect your wallet. If your address has been identified as Sybil, a notification will appear.
If you believe your address was flagged in error, you can submit an appeal by completing a form, available until February 2 at 11:59 PM Central European Time (CET).
In a recent article, Nansen noted that thresholds were raised and restrictions were relaxed to better account for automated operations. The filtering process also aimed to be accommodating to small-scale farming activities involving a limited number of wallets.
