We are also making both models available through our enterprise API later this month,
xAI representatives stated.
Grok-2 mini is a more compact version that is still suitable for a wide range of tasks, balancing generation speed with response quality. It is akin to OpenAI's recently released GPT-4o mini, which serves as the successor to the free GPT-3.5.
The developers also evaluated both models' ability to follow instructions and provide accurate information. The results indicated significant improvements in identifying missing information, correcting inaccuracies in responses, and constructing logical sequences when processing consecutive events.
