Based in the United Arab Emirates, “Emirates” announced that it now accepts bitcoin payments.
According to the company’s representatives, the main reason for this decision was the desire to develop and improve interaction with customers. Innovations were made for faster and more comfortable implementation of new technologies.
Thus, “Emirates” is not only ready to accept Bitcoin on an equal basis with fiat currencies but is exploring possible ways to track aircraft data and exchange information faster using the blockchain.
Currently, the aviation industry is starting to recover after the global pandemic. To improve the quality of service, the company decided to use non-fungible tokens to speed up the process. Options for launching its NFTs are also being considered.
Emirates is currently considering hiring new staff from NFT experts to develop this field.
