International payment systems got much less impressive results. VISA processed less than $6 trillion in transactions, while Mastercard – only $2.5 trillion.
As we previously reported, Tether also outperformed traditional financial processors in terms of the volume of payments processed. Tether Limited carried out transactions totaling $18.2 trillion in 2022.
