Imagine a hot summer day on an island. You’re exhausted from the heat that’s been haunting you all day. Even in the shade.
You’re heading to catch a bus after spending the entire afternoon at an ancient site located atop a hill and overlooking the Mediterrenean Sea. Your only haven is the strong sea breeze that helps you hide from the sun – even if for a split second.
You catch the bus – a relief in itself as pub transport on islands is not a given – and finally happy to see the sun setting down and return to a major tourist hub where all you want is to have a nice Italian-like gelato and an ice-cold glass of wine.
As you walk toward your destination, you’re looking around almost automatically, spotting just bits and pieces of what’s going on around you. Your head is still dizzy from the heat, and there are cats running around here and there.
In the midst of your thoughts, a sign catches your eyes and stop before you know it you stop in disbelief. The first question that comes to your mind is something along the lines of: What is this exactly? And what it’s doing here in the small city of Limassol, Cyprus?

Though baffled at first, you slowly let the sign sink in and realize that it’s an NFT club. Not just a regular one though as it’s embellished with the typical design based on Greek mythology and one of its chief protagonists the Centaur.
As you look around more, you see not just the Greek mythology characters but also the more familiar classic NFT figures, The Bored Apes. Both appear to be dressed to be impress, wearing colored shades, crowns, and teeth as well as an array of cryptos. They include Bitcoin, Ethereum, the USDT stablecoin, Dogecoin, and more.
The sign that reads above is the first and only crypto friendly night club, telling you “let’s spend some profit and have fun.”

It was too early to get in so we decided to check online what it offers.
The club has a site and several social media handles, including Instagram with 15.6K followers.

At the time of writing, several stories were available, inviting guests to book a table – even though Google notes that it is temporarily closed.
GNcrypto reached out to the club to ask if they’re open but hasn’t received a prompt response.
Its last grand event took place at the end of June when the Greek rapper Light – who has 579K followers on Instagram gave a concert at the club. Judging by the footage, that night the club was jammed.
Ironically, despite positioning itself as a crypto-firendly club, there’s no exact information on how they’re actually used. Can you use them as a means of payment inside? If so, how exactly?
Unfortunately, we don’t know – but we will make sure to further enquire once we have received a response from the club.
Until then all we can say is that it certainly seems like an exciting venue! If by any chance you’re in Limassol, then at least walk by it to see for yourself.
