In a strategic move, Gitcoin, known for project funding, is changing its approach from a broad focus on public goods to enhancing Ethereum's grant infrastructure.
This transition involves a restructuring that has led to the establishment of two business units: Grants Labs and Passport.
Kyle Weiss, the CEO, shared with BlockWorks the need for a more cohesive approach, a departure from the typical DAO format. Thus, the “Labs” unit is expected to bring consistent stability to software development.
Additionally, Gitcoin is introducing the Ecosystem Collective subDAO, a venture aimed at guiding the community and leadership of Gitcoin through a democratic voting process.
