Inflection AI Co-founders Make the Leap to Microsoft
Inflection AI’s CEO and co-founder, Mustafa Suleyman, has transitioned to Microsoft to lead the newly formed Microsoft AI division, encompassing products like Copilot, Bing, and Edge. Karen Simonyan, another co-founder, is set to become the Chief Scientist of the team.

Inflection AI's CEO and co-founder, Mustafa Suleyman, has transitioned to Microsoft to lead the newly formed Microsoft AI division, encompassing products like Copilot, Bing, and Edge. Karen Simonyan, another co-founder, is set to become the Chief Scientist of the team.
This move has also seen a migration of some Inflection AI staff to Microsoft. Under Mustafa's leadership, the team will directly report to Microsoft's CEO, Satya Nadella, focusing on enhancing the adoption of the company's AI applications by everyday users.
Mustafa has thanked the Inflection AI team for their hard work and opened up the API for the latest Inflection-2.5 model. This enables developers and enterprises around the globe to develop their applications, including bespoke internal services, based on this model.
Inflection AI previously unveiled its most recent model, nearly rivaling GPT-4's efficiency with much lower training costs. This technology has been incorporated into the Pi personal assistant, freely available to users with direct internet access.
