In his open letter, Pascal Gauthier reassured users that the hack of Ledger’s Javascript connector library was an ‘isolated incident.’
The breach occurred when a former employee fell victim to a phishing
scam, with the employee’s identity allegedly being left behind in the
compromised code.
Ledger’s hardware and the Ledger Live platform remained unaffected.
‘It is a reminder that security is not static, and Ledger must continuously improve our security systems and processes,’ added Pascal Gauthier.
