Known for her small size and cuteness, Moo Deng became the star of many viral videos and memes. The hippo lives in the Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Thailand and has had thousands of visitors.
The MOODENG memecoin was launched on the Solana blockchain on September 10 and soon became trending.
According to recent data by CoinGecko, MOODENG is the second most popular crypto on the platform with a market cap of over $173 M. The token has also got the attention of media like Fortune and Entrepreneur which published about the popular memecoin.
The MOODENG price increased more than 1400% since its launch and reached its all-time high of $0.3387 on September 18. However, the memecoin started to decline. Currently, it’s 50% down from its ATH and trades at around $0.015.
Meme narratives are changing rapidly, but not yet beyond the animal world. Not so long ago, it would seem, the heroes of the market were the doggies DOGE and Shiba Inu, then the leader was the awesome frog PEPE, and now it's time for the world's cutest hippo, Moo Deng.
