Puma has launched a 3D metaverse
Puma, the iconic sports apparel brand, has expanded its digital footprint by stepping into the burgeoning world of the metaverse with the launch of its unique 3D virtual realm called “Black Station” on June 13. This groundbreaking initiative places Puma at the forefront of brands exploring the possibilities of the digital universe.

While everyone can roam around and explore the captivating environment of Black Station, there are special advantages for those holding RB tokens. These tokens, granted to Puma Pass non-fungible token (NFT) holders, unlock the ability to acquire the brand's digital “Rulebreaker” sneakers and claim two digital wearables. These tokens currently command a price of 0.0125 ETH.
However, Puma is quick to assure that even without an RB token, the diverse landscape of Black Station offers plenty of intrigue and adventure. Visitors can delve into the wonders of the ethereal cloud city, Unkai, or explore the pulsating beats of the underground club, Unter.
RB token holders have a special window from June 13-20 to burn their tokens on Black Station, which gives their wallet exclusive access to an array of product drops in this digital realm. As per Puma's roadmap, Black Station is slated to host several more all-encompassing events and NFT drops this year, while their offerings for 2024 are currently under wraps.
Black Station will be available for exploration until June 23. Despite contemplating the use of alternative blockchain platforms earlier, Puma chose to stick with Ethereum. Purchases of digital collectibles on the platform can be made via a credit card or by connecting a wallet and using ETH.
Puma's foray into the Ethereum and NFT space was first signaled in February 2022, when the company registered an Ethereum Name Service domain and took on the moniker Puma.eth on Twitter. Since then, the brand has been actively investing in several feline-inspired NFT collections, including Cool Cats NFT, Lazy Lions, Gutter Cat Gang, and CatBlox.
