Scroll has shared the tokenomics for their upcoming token in a recent Twitter post.
Details are as follows:
- Token name: Scroll (SCR);
- Total supply: 1 billion tokens;
- Snapshot date: October 19, 2024;
- Token listing and claim date: October 22, 2024.
The snapshot hasn’t happened yet, so you still have a chance to get lucky. It’s predicted that those who’ve been active on Scroll—details we covered in a dedicated article—will be eligible.
In total, the team has set aside 15% of the maximum token supply for an airdrop to active network users. Of that, 7% will be distributed during the Token Generation Event (TGE) on October 22, with the remaining 8% reserved for rewards tied to future activities within the blockchain.

The crypto community has already voiced its discontent with the airdrop, calling the rewards “disappointing,” especially given that the allocation for the Scroll Launchpool on Binance is just 1.5% less. For example, users who have spent hundreds of dollars burning fees over two years will receive nearly the same number of tokens as those who simply staked assets between October 9 and 10.
At present, the premarket price of SCR is $1.54, giving it a potential Full Diluted Valuation (FDV) of $1.54 billion. This figure is lower than the valuation at which private investors bought SCR tokens. According to Cryptorank, Scroll's last funding round closed with a $1.8 billion valuation.
This suggests that investing in Scroll might turn out to be unprofitable, which could trigger further sell-offs and add pressure to the token’s price.
