The EU will require Web3 platforms to comply with AML legislation
This decision was made by the European Parliament. This effectively puts DeFi, DAOs, and NFT marketplaces on the same level as traditional financial companies.

From now on, these platforms must conduct comprehensive customer checks and report suspicious transactions to regulators.
Other new measures include:
- Limiting commercial transactions over 1000 euros for unidentified users;
- Prohibiting anonymous crypto and bank accounts;
- Creating a new central authority to combat money laundering, which will effectively monitor the crypto industry.
