9GAG ventured into the Web3 space by creating Memeland and announced an array of other initiatives on the horizon. The MVP NFT collection encompasses 420 distinct golden trophies, each averaging a worth of 50 ETH. These treasures, akin to pirate loot, allow their owners to stay ahead of the curve by being privy to the latest innovations and updates in Memeland.

Potatoz: The Fundamental NFTs
Potatoz is a quirky collection of 9,999 NFT avatars, each taking the form of a unique potato, influenced by various memes and pop culture icons. Since its launch in June 2022, it's made its way into the top 150 collections on OpenSea, with each Potatoz NFT having an average value of 1.6 ETH.
When a user purchases an NFT from this collection, they are staking their claim in the realm of memes. They can stake one or more of their Potatoz without engaging a long-term blocking mechanism. The longer a user keeps their NFT staked, the better their chances of snagging a pass to the weekly gift draw.

Captainz: Ascend to the Pinnacle of Memeland
The Captainz collection is also made up of 9,999 PFP-NFTs, but instead of potato avatars, it features baby pirates that are destined to grow as Memeland evolves. With an average worth of 6.2 ETH, Captainz holders emerge as leading figures within the meme community. The full extent of benefits and utilities these NFTs offer is still under wraps, though some details have begun to emerge.

Owners of the Captainz will receive MEME tokens gratis and will be the first to delve into the forthcoming metaverse, Treasure Islandz. Additionally, they will become part of the DAO with the power to steer the direction of Memeland.
