Google's spokespeople explained that the dismissed individuals were habitual protesters who had been underperforming. They allegedly disrupted work by storming the office on a protest day, prompting the executives to involve the police.
We have been very clear that the Nimbus contract is for workloads running on our commercial cloud by Israeli government ministries, who agree to comply with our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy,
explained a Google representatives.
The protesters contended that Google valued the lucrative $1.2 billion contract over listening to its own staff. Google plans to continue its probe into the incident and dismiss any staff involved in these disruptions.
