OneOf: Going Beyond Collectibles

OneOf: Going Beyond Collectibles

OneOf, a Web3 enterprise, is on a mission to unite artists, musicians, and renowned brands with their worldwide fans, using special NFT collections as the medium.

On this page

OneOf appeals to a broad audience, even those unfamiliar with the cryptoverse, hence it's geared towards devising user-friendly and economical tools for buying and selling digital collections. In this pursuit, the company employs energy-efficient blockchains like Tezos and Polygon, which are characterized by their minimal fees and significantly lower the entry barriers for novices and creators.

To be able to participate in paid drops, trade on the marketplace, or make purchases using a bank card, one needs to register—confirming their email address and phone number. A downside of this project lies in its custodial approach which potentially elevates the counterparty risks and compromises the privileges of those users who transfer NFTs to their personal wallets. Perhaps in the future, the team may transition to a more decentralized model.

NFT Drops

This section presents users with an opportunity to acquire on the primary market digital collections from endorsed artists. Typically, these are comprised of multiple unique NFTs boasting various levels of rarity, which in turn dictate their price, availability, and the privileges they confer. However, all terms and conditions are set by the artist themselves.

1. Green: The most prevalent variant (more than 10,000 copies) which scarcely offers unique opportunities like a chance at winning a prize or exclusive drops.

2. Gold: A limited edition (up to 10,000 copies), granting fans direct interactions with their favorite artists or musicians.

3. Platinum: A highly limited edition (up to 1,000 copies), proffering exclusive benefits such as limited content or VIP tickets.

4. Diamond: The exceptional variants (20-50 copies) that provide access to the most exclusive content, VIP events, and other experiences.

5. One Of One Tier: This is a unique NFT in the collection, sold exclusively at auction and almost non-existent in the market (only 5 copies were on the marketplace at the time this article was written). It could entail: personal meet-and-greets, unpublished works, private events, VIP tickets, and a whole lot more.

Besides digital collections, the platform also lists rare items for sale, the authenticity of which is affirmed by a blockchain certificate. A recent sale of rare Marilyn Monroe photos serves as a case in point.

NFT Marketplace

This is a secondary market where users can resell any OneOf NFTs they've acquired from a drop. The funds earned can be reinvested into a new set (with no fees involved, except when paying by card), gifted to someone else, or simply cashed out. However, there are certain restrictions: for safety, accounts might be temporarily frozen, there are limits to how much money can be withdrawn, and verification is mandatory. Thus, residents of certain countries may not be able to take advantage of this feature at all.

OnePass

OnePass is OneOf's very own digital collection. It consists of several thousand pieces of generated art and is geared towards supporting fans who can gain various lifetime bonuses from the platform. It is currently only available on the marketplace starting at $130, depending on rarity. The initial price was $250, with the tiers generated randomly.

1. Gold: This tier offers priority access to music, sports, and lifestyle-themed drops, four complimentary NFTs annually, invitations to VIP events, discounts, and access to a private Discord channel.

2. Platinum: This tier includes all the benefits of the Gold level, plus an increased rarity of images, additional NFTs at no extra cost, and access to virtual events. Market prices start from $700.

3. Diamond: This tier adds to the previous perks with a higher rarity, exclusive dinner invitations with the team around the world, and access to a private Telegram channel. All these for a total amount exceeding $2500.

Additionally, a bonus OnePass Titanium card can be obtained for $100 for any tier. This card unlocks a year of concierge services, discounts, and privileges at millions of OneOf partners globally (restaurants, nightclubs, shops, etc.) via a special partnership program.

Overall, OneOf is making significant strides in establishing an ecosystem, aiming to create a unique community and draw in interesting creators. As stated by OneOf, a part of the proceeds is donated to a charity of the collection creator's choice.
